Driven by the belief that expertise carries responsibility, Dr. Gandolfi brings surgical precision and design-mindfulness to communities in need. His mission work extends beyond aesthetics to create lasting change in places where access to cranio-facial and reconstructive surgery is limited.
Through his ongoing involvement with Operation Smile and other global initiatives, Dr. Gandolfi performs complex reconstructive surgeries for children and adults affected by cleft lip, cleft palate, and craniofacial conditions. These missions reflect the same standards that define his private practice: meticulous planning, technical mastery, and a deep respect for every individual he treats.
Access to reconstructive surgery changes lives. For patients born with facial differences or traumatic injuries, restoring form and function means more than appearance.
It’s also the ability to eat, speak, and smile freely. Dr. Gandolfi believes that aesthetic and reconstructive surgery share a common philosophy: both restore harmony. Whether in New York or abroad, the goal remains the same—to help each patient live more comfortably and confidently in their own skin.
These affiliations allow Dr. Gandolfi to share his knowledge, refine surgical practices worldwide, and participate in humanitarian efforts grounded in accountability and excellence.

Dr. Gandolfi’s mission work has taken him to countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, with each trip representing collaboration between global volunteers and local providers. Every mission combines advanced surgical methods with cultural respect and a commitment to leaving behind more than surgical results: sustainable systems, training, and hope.
Sustainable change requires a network of professionals and supporters who believe in access to care for all. To learn more about supporting Operation Smile or future mission work, visit operationsmile.org.
